Gerber Technology Adds to Leadership Team

Gerber Technology says the new appointments will help the continue to stay on the cutting edge of new software and equipment.

gerbertechnology_275x275Tolland, Connecticut-based Gerber Technology, which makes products serving a variety of industries, including sign and graphics, announces changes to its leadership team with three new appointments.

Melissa Rogers, a former vice president of subscriber platform engineering at Autodesk, is now a Gerber senior vice president and general manager for Gerber’s software business. Rogers brings 20 years of leadership experience to Gerber. During her tenure at Autodesk, a software company focused on the architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, media, education, and entertainment industries, Rogers held a number of management positions.

Gerber has created a new role at the company to drive its increased focus on digitization. Karsten Newbury is now the company’s chief strategy and digital officer. Previously, he had served as the senior vice president and general manager for software, the job Rogers now holds. In his new role, Karsten will be responsible for driving Gerber’s company-wide digital transformation. Teams he is leading will be addressing major customer-driven initiatives, including Gerber’s new subscription-based offering (Software as a Service), IoT- (Internet of Things)enabled devices, the digital micro-factory concept and other integrated hardware and software initiatives.

Finally, Ken Litman has joined Gerber as the new vice president of information technology. Litman was the senior director of IT at manrolandGoss web systems. Bringing with him

25 years of IT experience and expertise, Litman will continue to drive innovation at his new company through a number of digital projects.

“We are fortunate to expand the skills and knowledge of our leadership team,” says Mohit Uberoi, Gerber’s CEO. “These leadership changes will help us build on our past successes, drive innovation and expand our integrated software and hardware portfolio.”
