FLEXcon North America Adds Vice President of Research and Development

Sridhar Sadasivan brings to his new company a track record of successfully developing and bringing to market innovative new products.

sadasivan_275Spencer, Massachusetts-based FLEXcon, a manufacturer of pressure-sensitive film products, announces the hiring of Sridhar Sadasivan as its new vice president of research and development for FLEXcon North America.

Sadasivan most recently served as executive director, engineering at Massachusetts-based Olympus. According to his new company, during Sadasivan’s tenure both at Olympus and in his previous roles, he has successfully led the development and commercialization of innovative products. These include optical component platforms and developing new reliability tests and quality systems. His work in these areas helped launch innovative, high quality products that defined new consumer markets.

FLEXcon North America president Lavon Winkler says Sadasivan’s new job will be to identify emerging opportunities and bring innovative technologies to market.

“Sridhar comes to us with 15 years of experience leading technology development in the films, optics and nanotechnology industries with companies such as Olympus, QD Vision and Eastman Kodak,” Winkler says. “He has a proven track record of working with technology companies to bring innovative solutions to market and to successfully scale them to commercial success.”

Adds Sadasivan, “I look forward to collaborating with FLEXcon’s development team to bring ground-breaking technologies to the marketplace. Our goal will be to identify emerging opportunities for new and existing technologies, support the creative efforts of FLEXcon’s customers and technology partners, and delight them through innovative solutions.”
