UK-based ProDisplay, a manufacturer of rear- and front-projection screens, LED and LCD digital signage displays and other related technology, announces the installment of what it says is the largest rigid rear-projection screen in the Middle East.

The Chalhoub Group, owners of The Dubai Mall, were looking for an eye-catching display for their luxury shoe store, Level Shoes. The company wanted a large screen to display high-quality content without the usual join lines-the dissecting bezels-that are often seen on other video walls. The mall owners contacted the UAE’s Eclipse Installations and it and ProDisplay delivered the solution.

Pro Display’s Digital Glass is a screen that it manufactures using a special process that coats its advanced proprietary optical projection layer directly onto ultra-clear glass or cast acrylic. The high-definition screen is designed to be used in areas where space is very limited. In this case, it works in concert with an Epson EB-L1405U projector, which is a large-venue projector that combines a laser light source and 3LCD technology to display crisp, powerful images.

“Clients come to us because they know we source the very best equipment possible for the solutions we design and, with that, that we will not compromise on performance or quality,” says David Fell, director of Eclipse Installations. “Choosing to work with Epson and Pro Display for a project like this was therefore a natural choice. Quality and performance have always been our criteria when choosing our technology partners.”
