Featured Project: North Shore Neon Sign Ready for its Times Square Closeup

North Shore Neon Sign Co. has been serving the New York area-including Times Square customers-for 60-plus years.

Deer Park, New York-based North Shore Neon Sign Co., which was founded in 1954 that continues to design, manufacture and install signage, recently delivered a huge LED display to the heart of Times Square in New York City-just in time for New Year’s.

The display, which was commissioned by McDonald’s, spans half a city block and is seven stories tall and sitting atop a three-story building.

The company notes that McDonald’s has been a consistent partner throughout much of its history, and points out that between the global TV audience and the millions of New Yorkers and tourists who will be watching the iconic Times Square ball drop on New Year’s Eve, the sign’s visibility couldn’t get much larger.
