Featured Project: Egan Sign Spearheads Insurance Company Rebrand

In helping this national insurance company rebrand, Egan Sign had to design all types of signage to fit each individual agency's location.

Wyomissing, Pennsylvania-based Egan Sign, a national sign company specializing in branding and rebranding, was hired recently by a national insurance company to spearhead the complete rebranding the company wanted to undertake.

The KNW Group, announced in the fall of 2018 that it would rebrand itself as NFP, which bought The KNW Group in 2005.

The company had more than 200 independent insurance agents in locations across the United States. It wanted to bring them all together under one cohesive branded agency name, NFP. Each of the locations was very different in size and structure which meant they would need different types and sizes of signs.

Egan Sign responded to the request for proposal (RFP) put out and was chosen. Based on the brand guidelines provided by the insurance company’s marketing department,

Egan Sign developed a family of signage that would provide a consistent appearance across rebranded locations nationwide.

The types of signage produced through the project so far including frosted vinyl; digitally printed vinyl graphics; interior reception signs; pin mounted letters; acrylic signs; illuminated face replacements; ACM panels; stainless steel letters; and aluminum pan signs. The company produces the signs, based on location, and removes the old one before installing the new one.

Egan Sign has rebranded approximately half of NFP’s nationwide locations to date and will continue to brand new branches added through acquisition.

“I can honestly say that the Egan Sign team was always there,” says Lara Nichols NFP’s senior vice president of procurement. “Every piece of the process was well managed, was understood beforehand, was expected, and was executed flawlessly.”
