FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J.-Equipment Zone announces September and October dates for its DTG Academy. The two-day course takes place at Equipment Zone’s all-new training center in Phoenix, Arizona Sept. 21 and 22, as well as its Franklin Lakes, New Jersey location on October 5 and 6.

According to the company, “The DTG Academy was designed to be both a classroom and hands-on learning experience. The core purpose of the DTG Academy is to create an atmosphere where you can learn.” 

The course covers various direct-to-garment (D2) business topics, including:
  • The D2 printing process
  • Pretreatment overview
  • Printing techniques on light and dark garments
  • Basic machine maintenance
  • Artwork preparation and design strategies
  • Review of 10 profitable niches
  • Marketing concepts for building your digital printing business

Industry veteran Terry Combs leads the two-day course with help from other industry trainers and presenters including Jay Busselle, Dane Clement, and Matt Rhome. Equipment Zone will also have its technical staff available for any questions or help throughout the course. Epson provides the D2 printers for the event. However, the information and experiences apply to any D2 printer.

The DTG Academy costs $395 for the first attendee and $195 for each additional attendee from the same company. 

The September course takes place at 4700 S. Mill Ave. Suite 1 Tempe, Arizona, while the October course takes place at 527A Commerce St. Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. 

The Academy runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on the first day and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on the second day for both locations.
