Distec Partners With Advantech To Expand Digital Signage Range
This distribution agreement means Distec will be able to offer its customers many more products to fulfill their digital signage needs.
Milpitas, California-based Advantech, makers of hardware, software and embedded and automation systems serving a variety of industries, including digital signage, is partnering with UK-based Distec, providers of touchscreens and other products for a variety of markets, including digital signage. According to Distec, the deal will dramatically expand Distec’s range of digital media players and industrial displays systems that it can provide for its customers.
As an authorized embedded computer channel partner serving the UK and Ireland, Distec will be able to offer a wide range of Advantech products, including its variety of digital media players to a variety of Advantech’s industrial display systems, which range from 5.7″ to 55″ options.
Distec says that Advantech’s products fit into multiple environments, both indoor and outdoor.
It adds that strong growth is forecast for the UK digital signage market, with IHS Markit predicting an 18 percent annual growth rate to 2021, and 84 percent of UK retailers saying such products are an “opportunity to significantly raise brand awareness.”
