For the second time this year, Direct Color Systems (Direct Color LLC) announces the receipt of another U.S. patent for its UV-LED ADA-Compliant Braille sign printing process. Filed as a continuation-in-part of its first patent (U.S. Patent No. 9,498,977), this latest issuance encompasses new processes developed since the first patent was filed.
With the recent issuance of this second patent surrounding the process for manufacturing ADA-compliant/Braille signage with UV-LED printing technology, the DCS intellectual property portfolio continues to grow in its scope and strength.
“We are proud to now have two patents in place surrounding this technology,” says Blair Allen, president of Direct Color Systems. “We continually strive to develop innovative technology for our printers that can in turn, help our customers become more profitable. The issuance of patents like this further solidifies and protects our intellectual property.” The complete line of Direct Jet UVMVP, 1800z, and 7200z printer models are covered by U.S. Pat. No. 9,757,961.
