The deadline for entry into Mentor, Ohio-based Avery Dennison‘s fifth annual “Wrap Like A King” challenge is fast approaching. The last day to enter is Friday, Sept. 15.
Wrap installers from 53 countries across the globe can submit commercial, full print or color change wrap projects to be judged to win thousands in prizes. This year’s prize packages are worth a combined total of $30,000, which will be spread out among Regional Wrap Kings, Continent Wrap Kings and the “King of the Wrap World.”
This year’s competition features some changes from past contests. For example, “Continent Wrap Kings” is a new title, falling between being named a Regional Wrap King and the crowning of the “King.” Avery Dennison also added Mainland China, Japan and South Korea as new countries, while Europe is divided into four distinct regions. In all, there are twelve geographic regions spanning the globe.
The twelve Regional Kings will battle for the top spot on their continents, and out of those four Continent Wrap Kings will be selected to move onto the next stage of competition. The continents for the Challenge are North America; Europe; North Asia; and Australia/New Zealand. Winners of the North Asia and Australia/New Zealand regions will automatically be elevated to continent winner status.
Regional and continent winners will be announced in October. The overall winner will be chosen by the panel of judges as the best in show and crowned the “King of the Wrap World” at the 2017 SEMA Show, Oct. 31-Nov. 3, in Las Vegas.

The four continent winners will receive a three-night stay in Las Vegas for the 2017 SEMA Show, where the 2017 “King of the Wrap World” will be announced. The $3,200 prize pack for continent winners also includes personalized Wrap Like a King swag, $500 in gift vouchers, a 67″ Race Ramp and a variety of promotional and marketing tools for the winner’s wrap shop. The “King of the Wrap World” grand prize package is worth almost $5,000.

The company says more than 220 installers entered last year, and more are expected to compete this year.
