Coastal Business Supplies announces the date of its dye-sublimation print and production workshop in conjunction with Sawgrass and Unisub on Aug. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its St. Louis, Missouri location.
Coastal Marketing Specialist Kristen Harvey tells A&E magazine that the workshop is aimed at the beginner or potential dye-sublimation printer who is interested in the technology or just starting out, but needs a wide range of fundamental information to get started.
The day is divided into two sections, Harvey explains. The first portion will be led by sublimation expert Jimmy Lamb of Sawgrass, along with Coastal’s tech support specialists, talking about general tips, tricks, and how to print and press dye-sublimation, as well as versatile business advice like marketing and pricing your end products.
The class will cover the new features of Creative Studio, including the new reseller catalog features, file set-up and printing from the online designer, and other program platforms to Virtuoso printers.
The second half of the afternoon is all hands-on and will walk attendees through pressing best-selling products like keychains, flip flops, hardboard coasters and phone cases.
“After that, customers are free to visit and print their own samples with assistance from our support representatives, and can even print and press their own images onto these sample items,” Harvey says, adding that Unisub will be donating the products used during the hands-on pressing section. “(Attendees) will leave with fully-decorated, made-in-the-USA sublimation sample products to show off to customers.”
