BBB Recognizes Clear Channel Outoor’s Chicago Division

The Better Business Bureau announces that Clear Channel Outdoor Americas‘ Chicago division has been award the BBB’s Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics.

The Torch Award is the highest honor the BBB gives to a business. According to the consumer watchdog agency, its recipients “demonstrate the highest ethical standards of trust and behavior toward customers, business partners, shareholders, employees and the communities in which they do business.”

Judging criteria includes exceptional management practices, active community relations, transparent and consistent communications and marketing practices and a positive industry reputation.

One of the things the company does is donate billboard space throughout the Chicago region to help raise awareness for non-profits in the area; for example, promoting American Red Cross blood drives and Greater Chicago Food Depository events.

Clear Channel Outdoor Americas-Chicago, which serves a seven-county region, has more than 17,000 signs that reach some seven million people each week.
