STATESVILLE, N.C.-Badger Sportswear acquires Garb Athletics, a manufacturer of custom-tailored sports uniforms. Garb recently earned a spot on Inc. Magazine’s fastest-growing companies of 2017 list.

With Garb’s proprietary digital technology, team dealers and coaches design custom uniforms with decoration options such as twill, embroidery, and sublimation through an online platform. Garb manufactures the garments at a facility in the Philippines with a turn-around time of fewer than four weeks. The company also utilizes a pre-populated school logo database which features virtually every school in the U.S.

“The Garb acquisition is entirely consistent with our stated mission to provide all athletes and fans with superior performance apparel at accessible prices,” says John Anton, CEO of Badger Sportswear. “By leveraging our broad dealer network, coupled with Garb’s best-in-class digital technology, we will make it easier for every high school and middle school team in the country to design truly custom, affordable hand-crafted uniforms.”

“I am so proud of the team and what we have built together at Garb Athletics,” states Steve Rosenbeck, CEO of Garb Athletics. “But it is time to scale our model, and we look forward to working with Badger to grow our customer base while continuing to deliver premium-crafted, custom uniforms at prices all customers can afford.”

The acquisition continues Badger Sportswear’s recent moves to expand in the decorated sports apparel market. Earlier this month, the company acquired Alleson Athletic, a sublimated apparel and sportswear manufacturer.
