LOS ANGELES-Apparel distributor and retailer American Apparel launches a benefit campaign in collaboration with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and The Ally Coalition (TAC) to raise awareness for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) rights. The apparel company is offering a limited edition T-shirt, sold in American Apparel shops, the company’s online store, and through the HRC website as part of this campaign.

In addition to a limited edition T-shirt, a series of in-store events in collaboration with TAC are slotted for American Apparel stores in Los Angeles and New York City during the month of June featuring musicians, celebrities, and comedians.

The company is donating 30 percent of sales from the campaign towards the Equality Act and other anti-discrimination benefits.
