Maryland-based Almo Professional A/V, a distributor of professional audio and visual equipment, announces a distribution agreement with Beaverton, Oregon-based Biamp Systems, a provider of professional A/V equipment.

Under the agreement, Almo will become the distributor for Biamp’s Devio conferencing solutions, geared toward smaller collaboration spaces or so-called “huddle rooms,” throughout the U.S. and Mexico. Almo will also distribute Biamp’s Devio and Nexia digital signal processors in Latin America.

The new relationship is being supported by new Almo business development manager and audio expert Steve Alexander.

“Steve Alexander, Almo’s newest business development manager, brings a broad background in audio technology and is working directly with Biamp to ensure partners are able to smoothly integrate these products into their existing and forthcoming huddle and conference room projects,” says Sam Taylor, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Almo.

According to Almo, many of its customers are moving more toward so-called huddle rooms, which don’t require the large-scale A/V installations of larger conference rooms but still require remote connectivity and convenience.

“Biamp’s Devio line is a functional, elegant solution that requires minimal configuration while seamlessly interfacing with unified communications platforms such as Skype, Zoom, BlueJeans and GoToMeeting,” says Alexander.

Also as part of the new relationship, Biamp has joined the 2018 Almo E4 AV Tour, which begins in Washington, D.C. on March 6.
