3A Composites Announces its New CEO

With a background in finance, Eric Gauthier has more than 20 years experience, most of that in the composites business.

gauthier_275Switzerland-based rigid substrate manufacturer 3A Composites Core Materials, which has its U.S. headquarters in Davidson, North Carolina, announces Eric Gauthier as its new CEO.

Gauthier, 50, replaces Roman Thomassin, who led the company for the past seven years.

Gauthier, who took over his new assignment Dec. 1, will be reporting to Schweiter Technologies’ CEO, Dr. Heinz Baumgartner.

Schweiter Technologies, traded on the Swiss Stock Exchange as SWTG, is 3A Composites’ parent company.

Gauthier has been president, global key accounts for 3A Composites Core Materials division, as well as head of EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) sales, since 2011. Previously, he served as global strategy director of Core Materials for seven years. With a background in finance, Gauthier has more than 20 years of experience in corporate and local management functions for global corporations. Prior to joining the composite business, he was employed at Rio Tinto Alcan and Nestlé.

The naming of Gauthier to his new position comes only weeks after the company named Graham Fizer its president and CEO for 3A Composites Americas.
