Decorate coffee mugs with full-color, vibrant images using sublimation in these three easy steps.

Materials Needed

  • 11-ounce polyester-coated ceramic mug
  • Sublimation transfer
  • Heat transfer tape

Step One: Start by setting your press to an idle temperature of 380 degrees and a pressing temperature of 385 degrees. Then set your time between 180-200 seconds. Wait for the press to reach idle temperature.

Step Two: While waiting, go ahead and place the transfer on the mug, leaving about an inch on either side of the handle, using heat tape to secure it.

Step Three: After the press reaches the idle temperature, place the mug in the element and lock it in with a medium to firm pressure, then press the green button. Once the time elapses, quickly remove the mug and peel immediately.
