S&S Activewear Announces New Locations in Illinois and Nevada
S&S Activewear unveils plans for two new warehouses.

BOLINGBROOK, Ill.-S&S Activewear unveils plans for two new warehouses. The facilities are in Reno, Nevada and Lockport, Illinois.
The company says the 800,000-square-foot facility in Reno is the “most expansive” of S&S’s fulfillment centers in the U.S. As part of the new opening, S&S says it also plans to consolidate its current California warehouse into the Reno building and move its California call centers to Tempe, Arizona. The company projects an opening of the Reno location in the first quarter of 2019, followed by a closing of the California location in second-quarter 2019. In addition to consolidation, S&S says the opening provides a broader SKU offering, a deeper inventory, and features solar power to minimize the company’s carbon footprint.
In Illinois, the Lockport location measures in at 750,351 square feet and sits a short distance from S&S’s Bolingbrook office. The facility allows the company to expand inventory while retaining its existing staff and hiring additional personnel. Like Reno, the building boasts technological and sustainable features like radiant heat and solar power.
“Our priority at S&S is to fulfill the needs of our customers which are expanding every day,” says Jim Shannon, president of S&S. “The new Lockport facility is equipped with the space and technology needed to meet the company’s growing customer demand.”
The company expects to open the Illinois location in third-quarter 2019.
The announcement comes as the S&S continues to grow its footprint in the U.S. In April 2018, the company marked its 30th anniversary with an addition of a warehouse in Georgia.
