Ryonet Names Prints for Positivity Contest Winners
Ryonet announces winners of its Prints for Positivity contest.
VANCOUVER, Wash.-Ryonet announces winners of its Prints for Positivity contest. The contest encourages screen printers to show how they “pay it forward” and give back to their community with their business.
The company names the following finalists:
First place, Steve Steele
Second Place, Kyle Zvejnieks
Third Place, Latrice Collins
Winners received a combination of Ryonet equipment, screen-printing supplies, and Allmade apparel.
Each winner discusses what their goals are in a video posted by Ryonet. Collins says she aims to open a screen-printing boot camp in her Dallas neighborhood of South Dallas – Fair Park. “I want to give youths the ability to use all of their creativity and skills to build a business for themselves,” says Collins in the video. Second-place winner Zvejnieks serves as a coordinator at the Youth Institute of the YMCA in Rapid City, South Dakota. The institute helps local teens develop professional skills for like graphic design and screen printing. First-place winner Steele says his experiences as a maker, art designer, and an ex-Blackhawk pilot war veteran formed his vision of using his art to build tiny homes for homeless veterans. Steel prints his own line of T-shirts featuring positive messages, geared at helping this cause.
“We received great entries from fantastic humans,” states Ryonet. “So many of you are already doing so much for your community, and we couldn’t be more proud of our screen-printing family.”
