Sterling, Virginia-based Mvix, which makes digital signage, video walls and interactive displays, announces the launch of a new app that enables the display of Uber and Lyft wait times and rates on digital signage screens.
The company says the rideshare app could be used in a variety of settings, including corporate offices, hotels, apartment buildings and transit centers. The app uses the customer’s address as the pickup location and displays custom, localized information such as estimated time of arrival, the type of service and size options of vehicles (larger cars, carpool options, etc.) and base fare and surge pricing.
The app is only available on the Mvix digital signage software, the company says.
“Our goal is to develop tools that enhance on-site digital experiences,” says Mike Kilian, senior director of business development at Mvix. “With this new app, our clients are empowered to elevate the experiences they offer and go a step further by providing useful transit information to their customers. This creates more opportunities for positive brand engagement.”
