Hiring a New Employee Under a Small-Business Budget: One retailer’s advice
If you think your business can't afford to hire another staff member, but you need the extra help, here's a word for you...
The major decision to add employees must be made with extreme diligence and care. Employees are normally added during robust economic times, but there are other reasons and times to add new employees. Sometimes you are faced with a situation where hiring a new employee may be necessary, yet your budget to do so is limiting.
Adding salespeople without having a weekly or monthly expense might be obtained by selling your products or services to those who might act as dealers or distributors of your offering. The concern might be the time it takes to establish these networks and the fact that you are giving up a portion of your profit margins. But on the other hand, if you give up a little, you could add a lot to your bottom line.
