This featured project originally was featured in a 2013 issue of SDG and remains a great example of the ability of interior signage to truly transform a space.

FASTSIGNS of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was hired by the local Sage Brush Community Church to turn a portion of its building into a “Kids Planet.” After consulting with the client, including selecting materials and refining the overall theme, FASTSIGNS was allowed to decorate one classroom using Dreamscape wall covering and laminate. After the company completed that one room the church had seen enough; FASTSIGNS was commissioned to finish the whole project, and it did it in time for the church’s grand opening Christmas services week.

Printing was done on an Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 and lamination with a Seal Image 62 Plus. The RIP software was ONYX Poster Shop 10. The project was printed on Dreamscape Luster wall covering 8/Roll 54″ x 150′, supplied by LexJet. The prints were laminated with Vandal Guard, Anti-Graffiti Over-Laminate Hi-Gloss 10/Roll 54″ x 100′, supplied by Denco. Other prints, such as the creatures, planet cut-outs, cabinet inserts, directional signs and more, were printed on 3M Controltac Graphic Film IJ160 with gloss or Vandal Guard laminate.
