Featured Project: Braces for a Bug
A 3d printer played a key role in the installation of this eye-catching wrap.
This featured project was sent into Sign & Digital Graphics by Marietta, Georgia-based TCS, The Color Spot, highlighting a project it was doing for the Georgia-based dentistry chain Braces-Braces.
Dr. Frank Nia contacted TCS, a full-service sign, graphics and wraps company which also has a production facility in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Nia explained he had just purchased a then-new 2017 Volkswagen Beetle and he wanted to turn it into a fun and eye-catching marketing vehicle to advertise his chain of orthodontics clinics. What better way to advertise than give the car a set of braces?
TCS made his idea come to life. The company first wrapped the vehicle, displaying its logo and contact information. Then TCS used a 3D printer to make dental brackets and put them over the top of the wrap. Add some stainless steel wire, some rubber bands and-just for fun-eye lashes, and voilà : a VW that’s as cute as a bug!
