Mike Pilote was still in high school in New Jersey in 2001 when the movie “The Fast and the Furious” came out, and he says he and his friends were inspired by all the hot cars in the film with their custom designs. He took it a step further and sold his half of a mobile DJ business to buy what equipment he needed to start a one-man wrap business.

VFX Wraps was founded in 2003, and after several years of honing his skills and building up his clientele, it was Pilote’s involvement with Bass University-which trains professional and want-to-be bass fisherman-that led him to where he is today. His wife, Corinne, just quit her full-time job to join Pilote’s shop full time. He’s a boat wrap pro in demand in the pro fishing world.
