A4 Apparel Expands with Kansas City, Missouri Warehouse

A4 Apparel says the new 175,000-square-foot location is its largest to date and "most technologically advanced."

KANSAS CITY, Mo.-A4 Apparel expands its national footprint with the opening of a new warehouse in Kansas City, Missouri. The team uniform and sportswear manufacturer says the new 175,000-square-foot location is its largest to date and “most technologically advanced.”

The new location shortens A4’s shipping times to Central and Eastern regions of the U.S., providing access to all of the company’s inventory. The company says it’s currently stocked the most popular brand lines at the Missouri hub and plans to add all other styles in the near future. Combined with its two other warehouses in California and Texas, A4 now offers one- to two-day shipping for 80 percent of the country.

“Our business has grown in a number of areas over the last few years, and this is the next step in that evolution,” states Mark Mertens, owner of A4. “As we continue to grow, we continue to invest in our team, our technology, our logistics, and ultimately in the customer experience we deliver every day.”

In addition to shipping benefits, the new warehouse boasts a handful of technological upgrades. An intricate racking setup, as well as digital picking and tracking systems, help the company reduce turnaround times. A4 also projects the facility will add jobs to the local economy. Facility staff includes an all-new team manning local operations that reports to existing leadership.

“We chose Kansas City not just because of the location, but also because of the community and the many talented people,” adds Mertens. “We will be here for a very long time and couldn’t have picked a better spot.”
