Get to know the teachers, athletic directors, and administrators. There is a big network of teachers and school staff that live within the communities they service. My wife, for example, is a fourth-grade teacher, and we live within the community that she services. A lot of local news and upcoming events are passed on through word-of-mouth, so if you can make connections with these folks in your community, you can be on the front line when new opportunities arise to pitch your business’s academic product line.
