The easiest way to add some interest to your text, no matter what software package you’re using, is to use the envelope tool. This will give you predetermined arches, arcs, and other shapes with which to work.
In Photoshop there is “Layer Styles,” which really adds an extra dimension to the look of your artwork. You can add a drop shadow, texture, or bevel and emboss the text literally with the click of a button. These features are easy to use and extremely powerful on the end product.
