Use Caution When Laser Processing 6 Materials
Be aware of these substrates that require extra care when cutting or engraving.

While certain materials should not be laser processed due to their chemical make-up, there are a few substrates that require caution when cutting or engraving:
- Manganese
- Chromium
- Nickel
- Cobalt
- Copper
- Lead
Be aware of fabrics and other materials that are labelled as “flame retardant.” Because they often include bromine, they are not laserable materials. For flame-retardant materials, it is best to ask the manufacturer about the exact ingredients.
