Ryonet shares a step-by-step video tutorial that walks screen printers through the different squeegee angles and how it can affect printing. Cristen Sousa, Ryonet’s production designer, first demonstrates how she prefers to push her squeegee rather than pull.

Important points from the quick tip tutorial:

  • A 40-45-degree angle is a great starting angle
  • The key is to maintain that same angle throughout the push (or pull) of the pass
  • Different inks may require different angles due to thickness
  • For example, whites are heavier, thus requiring a lower angle for better ink deposit
