Preparing to Cut and Engrave a Design Out of Wood

There are some considerations one needs to think about.

Not too much needs to be done to a design to prepare it to engrave on wood. Engraving is the same whether on tile, glass, or wood – it’s all about power and speed.

Now with cutting wood, there are some considerations one needs to think about, such as cut lines too close together, which might just burn away. In addition, when cutting out an object that has parts to be cut out, you need to make sure the inside lines cut first. If your wood is a little warped or your vector bed is a slightly warped (not flat), or if you cut the outside lines first, the wood can drop a little. Then it will be a little off-focus and not cut as well on the inside cuts.
