General Tips for Running Your Laser Machine

Don't be scared of your machine.

Start off slow. Don’t overpower the machine because you will either melt or burn the edges. Do a practice run or two to find out where you are at. A great way to utilize your scraps is by using them to test on.

Don’t be scared of your machine. One thing I recommend is to find the speed your machine is comfortable at and never change the speed – only change the wattage or power of your machine. We never run our machines faster than 50% speed. This makes them last longer and it doesn’t beat the belts up – just change the power settings on it. The laser can only flash so fast. But ultimately, you must read your manual, listen to your instructor, call someone when you’ve got problems.
