It all depends on the type of heat transfer vinyl being used. I’ve found that when working with incredibly small transfers, it saves you time to wiggle the vinyl as you weed the transfer and use the tips of your fingers to hold the vinyl down as you go. Also, when working with script fonts, weeding the inside of the letters and removing small parts first can help when removing bigger pieces to reveal your letters. I’ve seen some vinyl weeded inside an open and on heat press, making the removal of the excess vinyl easier.
